The Manchester Proud Chorus is more than a place to sing. It’s a community built on equality, diversity and inclusion. We believe that every voice matters and that music is richer when it reflects the full range of our identities, cultures and experiences.
We warmly welcome new members of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions, and we are especially keen to hear from people from ethnic, religious and cultural minority backgrounds. If you’ve ever felt under-represented, unheard, or unsure whether a choir space was “for you”, please know you belong here.
You don’t need to read music or have formal training; just a love of singing and a willingness to be part of a respectful, safe, supportive and joyful environment. We are committed to creating a space where everyone can be themselves, where differences are celebrated, and where we learn from one another as we sing together.
